Luck of the Leprechaun by earthenwood Luck of the Leprechaun by earthenwood
I made this necklace to celebrate the legends and tales of the Leprechaun, anticipating a little bit of St Patricks day next month.

The Luck of the Leprechaun is made from a handcrafted porcelain face stone, set with natural brass filigree from Vintaj findings. It also contains ceramic charms molded from vintage buttons in the shape of shamocks and good luck charms. The rest of the brass is also from Vintaj and the ribbon is hand dyed silk satin.

I made all the porcelain parts...you can find them on my website at Earthenwood Studio [link]

Read about some of the steps I used to create the filigree stone wrap on my blog here: [link]

cuter than the one's in the horror flick but the fancy dancy green ribbons and his solemn face makes it a fine piece of jewelry/art. fun. nice.

Thanks so much! I actually don't usually sell such pieces...they are samples I make to show how to use my ceramic jewelry components (which I do sell www.earthenwoodstudio.com)

So many of these either end up on display with me at shows or used in beading magazines as step by step projects.

I suppose I should consider that people might like to buy the jewelry too, but it is more fun for me to show people what they can make. Its the clay part that I adore best!

i really like your porcelain faces, but the way you combine elements to make a necklace is simply amazing! i like the varied textures and subtle color changes. and your photos are excellent - clear with a nice background. it makes the pieces showcase that much more beautifully!
